It has a spacious area to drink, with its original wood and stone work, open log fires and comfortable chairs. The bar has locally sourced ales and the wines come from all over the world.
The new Stanegate Room, situated in part of the Red Lion has recently opened to celebrate all things local. It represents local history along with lots of crafts and artwork by local residents and is a showcase for new and developing local talent.
